🌱 About the Project

During IDEASHACK 2026, my teammates and I (Team Fjaka) built a platform that bridges the gap between stranded academic research and commercial funding.

Introducing: ScienceBridge 🌉, an ecosystem that translates isolated research methodologies into commercial solutions and verifies the humans behind them. By connecting researchers, businesses, and investors, we aim to fix the broken science-to-market pipeline and close the €2.3T+ EU competitiveness gap.

❓ What it does

Our platform uses a translation and trust layer composed of three engines working together:

• Zero-waste knowledge graph: A publicly accessible, interactive 3D graph that visualizes stranded, fragmented research. Every node represents a real paper enriched by Semantic Scholar and OpenAlex.

• AI-generated synthesis cards: Users describe an R&D roadblock, and our AI surfaces cross-domain orphaned methods to synthesize new commercial hypotheses, complete with Technological Readiness Levels (TRL) and confidence scores.

• Deep verify agent: Researchers earn a verifiable, shareable credibility passport built from independently cross-referenced evidence

• Proof-of-work challenge: The system generates specific questions only the true author could answer, securing their public profile with a tamper-proof SHA-256 fingerprint.

💻 Methods & How We Built It

We built a real-world scale architecture featuring Graph-RAG synthesis, an agentic deep verify pipeline, and Technical DNA graph extraction:

• Built a highly interactive frontend and deployment pipeline with Next.js, Three.js (for the 3D data visualization), TailwindCSS, Framer Motion, and Vercel.

• Integrated multiple robust data sources and research APIs, including OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar, ORCID, Crossref, Europe PMC, and CORDIS

• Developed a Discovery Engine utilizing a domain matching algorithm to cluster research based on structural proximity.
